Tampa Bay Regional Urban Search and Rescue Team

PURPOSE

FL TF 3 is a State of Florida and a resource for search and rescue emergencies to be utilized anywhere in the state when local resources are overwhelmed due to natural and/or manmade disasters. Since FL TF 3 is a type II USAR Team within the State of Florida the resources may be called out at time by a formal request by the Governor, Florida Fire Chiefs Conference, or State of Florida Fire Marshals Office. Some disasters that FL TF 3 may respond to are as follows: hurricanes, tornados, terrorist events and explosions causing building collapses.
